A Day of Fun, Community & Giving Back: Our Stars of Nowra Easter Fundraiser

Today we had the absolute pleasure of hosting our Stars of Nowra Easter Fundraiser, and what a wonderful day it was! Held at the Shoalhaven Rugby Club, the event brought together families, friends, and local businesses for a day full of laughter, activity, and heartwarming generosity – all in support of the Cancer Council.

From the very start, there was a buzz of excitement as kids and parents joined in on games and activities, including the chance to try out Sense Rugby 🏉 – a program we proudly run that blends the benefits of occupational therapy with the structure and fun of team sport.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Easter event without an Easter egg hunt 🐰 – and this one didn’t disappoint! Little ones raced around the field in search of sweet treats, followed by enjoying the incredible cookies 🍪 and gelato 🍦 provided by the always amazing Bumpy Road Catering, winners of the 2023 Business of the Year (and we were proud to stand beside them as the 2024 Business of the Year!).

We’re so grateful to the Shoalhaven Rugby Club for kindly donating the use of their facility – it was the perfect space to bring the community together.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we raised almost $700 for the Cancer Council 💛. These funds will go directly toward supporting cancer research, prevention, and support services, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together.
