At South Coast Therapy & Support Group, we believe in more than just supporting our clients — we’re here to support families too. One of the ways we do this is through our regular Parent Morning Teas: relaxed, informal gatherings designed to create a sense of community, provide space for connection, and open the door for questions and conversations.
What Are Parent Morning Teas?
Parent Morning Teas are simple but meaningful events. We invite parents and carers of our clients to come together over a cuppa and some light refreshments to chat, share, and learn. There’s no formal agenda — just an open, welcoming space to connect with other parents who understand the journey you’re on.
Whether you’re new to therapy or have been part of our community for a while, you’re welcome to drop in, say hello, and join the conversation.
Why We Host Them
Caring for a child or loved one with additional needs can sometimes feel isolating. Our Parent Morning Teas are here to remind families they’re not alone. These events offer:
A supportive community: Connect with other parents who “get it” — those who understand the day-to-day challenges and triumphs.
Opportunities to ask questions: Our therapists are often available to answer general questions about services, support options, or common concerns.
A safe space to share: Whether you want to vent, celebrate a win, or simply listen, this is your time.
Updates and resources: Stay in the loop with new programs, resources, and community opportunities.
Who Can Attend?
Any parent or carer of a child or individual accessing our services is welcome. You don’t need to RSVP or bring anything — just come as you are.
When Do They Happen?
We host these morning teas regularly throughout the year at our Nowra clinic locations. Keep an eye on your emails, our website, or social media for the next date — or ask at reception if you’d like to know more.
Let’s Connect
We know that when families are supported, our clients thrive. If you’ve never joined us for a morning tea before, we’d love to see you at the next one. Whether you stay for five minutes or the full hour, your presence makes a difference.
Because at the end of the day, sometimes the most powerful support comes from a simple conversation and a shared cup of tea.
